तथेदं वाङ्मयं जातं पुराणेभ्यो न संशयः । वेदार्थादधिकं मन्ये पुराणार्थँ वरानने ॥ १७ ॥
tathedaṃ vāṅmayaṃ jātaṃ purāṇebhyo na saṃśayaḥ | vedārthādadhikaṃ manye purāṇārthaṃ varānane || 17 ||
Như vậy, toàn thể kho lời thánh (vāṅmaya) này phát sinh từ các Purāṇa—không còn nghi ngờ. Ôi người có dung nhan mỹ lệ, ta cho rằng ý nghĩa của Purāṇa còn cao trọng hơn cả ý nghĩa của Veda.
