The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes that devotion is expressed through disciplined, scripturally guided offerings (naivedya), where simple sattvic foods become sacred when presented with proper intention and rule.
Bhakti here is practical and ritualized: the devotee honors the Divine Śakti through prescribed items, showing reverence through correct worship-procedure rather than mere sentiment.
It reflects Kalpa-style ritual detail—specifying acceptable naivedya substances for a class of deities (Śaktis), a hallmark of applied liturgical instruction within Vedanga-oriented sections.
