Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Vedanga/ritual context of Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches that sustained, rule-based worship (for a full month) with prescribed, pure offerings functions as a powerful purifier, capable of removing deeply rooted karmic impurities, even those traced to previous births.
Bhakti here is expressed as disciplined upāsanā—regular honoring of the deity with reverent offerings—showing that devotion, when continuous and sincere over time, becomes a means of inner cleansing and liberation from sin.
It reflects ritual science: the use of standard measures (śatamāna) and specified materials (golden, perfumed flowers) in worship, emphasizing precision in offerings and observance over a fixed period (māsa).
