FAQs

It stresses that spiritual merit (phala) depends not only on intention but on correct ritual execution—kindling the sacred fire properly and observing the prescribed lunar-day sequence.

By emphasizing disciplined observance (vrata-krama), it supports Bhakti through regulated practice—devotion expressed as faithful adherence to sacred timings and offerings, which purifies and focuses the mind.

It highlights Kalpa (ritual procedure) and Jyotiṣa-based timekeeping via tithi (Pratipat through Pañcamī), showing that correct calendrical sequencing is integral to obtaining the intended ritual result.
