Narada (teaching mantra-prayoga within Vedanga/ritual-technical instruction, traditionally to the Sanatkumara brothers in this section’s dialogue frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a specific mantra-prayoga: a nine-syllabled mantra whose disciplined repetition (100 japa) is said to neutralize a harmful śāpa (curse), showing the Purana’s applied, remedial side of dharma and mantra-śāstra.
Though technical in tone, it implies bhakti through faithful japa—steady repetition with trust in mantra-śakti—where sincerity and disciplined practice become the means of relief and protection.
It highlights mantra-prayoga methodology: identifying a navārṇa-mantra and prescribing a precise repetition count (śata-japa) as a remedial rite—an applied ritual/technical instruction aligned with Vedanga-style practice.
