The Account of Hanumān
Narada (dialogue context within Narada Purana’s instructional frame; commonly Narada teaching in a didactic exchange)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: hasya
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes dharmic self-restraint and proper conduct around food and hospitality—either behave with confidence and discipline as in one’s own home, or seek rightful support where it is offered, avoiding dependence that violates decorum.
Indirectly, it supports bhakti through ethical living: devotion is stabilized by disciplined daily conduct (ācāra), including humility and proper reliance, which purifies intention for worship and mantra-practice.
It reflects applied dharma-ācāra aligned with Kalpa (ritual/observance discipline): norms of eating, entering a home, and appropriate dependence—practical rules that support orderly ritual life.
