The Account of Hanumān
आरक्तनीलच्छत्राभ्यां शुशुभे लक्ष्मकौस्तुभः । शिवानुमत्या ब्रह्मापि हंसारूढोऽभवत्तदा ॥ ८० ॥
āraktanīlacchatrābhyāṃ śuśubhe lakṣmakaustubhaḥ | śivānumatyā brahmāpi haṃsārūḍho'bhavattadā || 80 ||
Được che bởi hai lọng đỏ thắm và xanh biếc, Thánh Mẫu Lakṣmī cùng bảo châu Kaustubha rực rỡ huy hoàng. Rồi khi ấy, nhờ sự chuẩn thuận của Śiva, ngay cả Phạm Thiên (Brahmā) cũng cưỡi thiên nga làm xa giá.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta (wonder)
Secondary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
It highlights divine majesty and cosmic order: auspicious emblems (Lakṣmī and Kaustubha) radiate prosperity and sovereignty, while Śiva’s consent and Brahmā’s readiness indicate harmony among the deities in carrying out sacred cosmic functions.
By focusing attention on the Lord’s auspicious marks and divine attendants, the verse supports bhakti through smaraṇa (remembrance) and darśana-bhāvanā (contemplation of divine form), nurturing reverence and single-pointed devotion.
Indirectly, it reflects nirukta/itihāsa-purāṇa style meaning-making and ritual-iconographic literacy used in Purāṇic teaching—recognizing symbols (chatrā, Kaustubha, vāhana like Haṃsa) that are often applied in mantra, stotra, and pūjā visualization.
