The Account of Hanumān

It highlights how even great ascetics can become outwardly “bound” when agitation and haste arise—pointing to the need for steadiness (dhairya) and disciplined conduct alongside learning.
Indirectly, it suggests that inner composure supports spiritual practice; bhakti is strengthened when one avoids restless distraction and remains centered in remembrance and restraint.
The verse uses the ascetic marker of jaṭā to frame a cautionary scene: technical learning and ritual identity should be matched with controlled behavior—an applied lesson relevant to śāstric discipline in Vedanga-oriented sections.
