श्रुणुयुस्ते पुराणानि प्राहुरित्थं पुराविदः । अहं तु गौतममुनेः सर्वज्ञाद्ब्रह्यवादिनः ॥ ४ ॥
śruṇuyuste purāṇāni prāhuritthaṃ purāvidaḥ | ahaṃ tu gautamamuneḥ sarvajñādbrahyavādinaḥ || 4 ||
Các bậc thông hiểu Purāṇa nói rằng họ sẽ lắng nghe các Purāṇa của Ngài theo cách ấy. Còn ta thì đã thọ nhận từ hiền thánh Gautama, bậc toàn tri, người thuyết giảng Brahman.
