गङ्गामाहात्म्य — The Greatness of the Gaṅgā

कपिल उवाच । ये तु नाशमिहेच्छंतिं यशोबलधनायुषाम् । त एव लोकान्बाधन्ते नात्राश्चर्यं सुरोत्तमाः ॥ ८५ ॥

kapila uvāca | ye tu nāśamihecchaṃtiṃ yaśobaladhanāyuṣām | ta eva lokānbādhante nātrāścaryaṃ surottamāḥ || 85 ||

Kapila nói: Ở đời này, kẻ nào mong cho danh tiếng, sức mạnh, của cải và thọ mạng bị tiêu hoại—chính hạng người ấy mới quấy nhiễu và làm khổ các thế gian. Điều đó chẳng có gì lạ, hỡi các bậc tối thắng trong chư thiên.
