The Greatness of Viṣṇu
Viṣṇor Māhātmya
स्वपन् भुञ्जन् व्रजंस्तिष्ठन्नतिष्ठंश्च वदंस्तथा । चिन्तयेद्यो हरेर्नाम तस्मै नित्यं नमो नमः ॥ ७ ॥
svapan bhuñjan vrajaṃstiṣṭhannatiṣṭhaṃśca vadaṃstathā | cintayedyo harernāma tasmai nityaṃ namo namaḥ || 7 ||
Dù đang ngủ hay ăn, đi hay đứng, nghỉ hay nói—ai luôn quán niệm Danh Thánh của Hari, đối với người ấy con xin cúi lạy mãi mãi, lạy đi lạy lại không ngừng.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It praises akhaṇḍa-smaraṇa—unbroken remembrance of Hari’s Name in all ordinary activities—presenting it as a complete, ever-available form of devotion worthy of continual reverence.
Bhakti here is not limited to temple or ritual moments; it is the steady inner turning toward Vishnu through nāma-cintana (contemplation of the Divine Name) while living one’s daily life.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is sādhana-discipline—training attention so nāma-smaraṇa continues regardless of posture, action, or routine.
