Narada (teaching in a dharma-ritual context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It frames childbirth as a sacred transition: purity is restored after sūtaka, ancestors are honored through abhyudayika śrāddha, and the child is formally integrated into dharmic life through the śāstra-guided act of naming.
While primarily ritual-focused, it supports bhakti by insisting that life’s milestones be sanctified through prescribed rites—creating a disciplined, sattvic household environment conducive to remembrance of the divine and reverence to lineage and tradition.
Kalpa/Vedāṅga (ritual procedure) is emphasized: timing (sūtaka-anta), sequence (śrāddha before naming), and performance “yathāvidhi” (according to injunction) reflect applied śrauta/smārta ritual discipline.
