Dvādaśī-vrata: Month-by-month Viṣṇu Worship and the Year-End Udyāpana
नमस्ते वामनायेति दूर्वाज्याष्टोत्तरं शतम् । हुत्वा च जागरं कुर्याद्वामनं चार्चयेत्पुनः ॥ ५९ ॥
namaste vāmanāyeti dūrvājyāṣṭottaraṃ śatam | hutvā ca jāgaraṃ kuryādvāmanaṃ cārcayetpunaḥ || 59 ||
Vừa tụng: “Namaste Vāmana—Kính lễ Đức Vāmana”, vừa dâng vào lửa một trăm lẻ tám lễ hiến bằng cỏ dūrvā trộn bơ ghee; rồi giữ thức canh (jāgara) và lại thờ phụng Đức Vāmana lần nữa.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a ritual-instruction context)
Vrata: Vāmana-vrata (contextual)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It prescribes a complete devotion-centered sequence—mantra, homa with sacred offerings, and jāgara—framing worship of Vāmana as disciplined, continuous remembrance that purifies intention and strengthens surrender to Viṣṇu.
Bhakti is expressed through repeated salutation (“namas te”), reverent ritual action (108 oblations), and sustained wakeful worship (jāgara), showing devotion as both heartfelt praise and steady practice directed to Vāmana.
It highlights ritual procedure (kalpa-style practice): counted offerings (108), specified materials (dūrvā and ghee), and sequencing (homa → vigil → renewed pūjā), reflecting technical discipline in Vedic-style worship.
