Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: Dvādaśī-vrata (Jyeṣṭha Śukla Dvādaśī upavāsa)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It elevates a simple, accessible vrata—fasting on Jyeṣṭha Śukla Dvādaśī—as a powerful purifier, declaring it capable of removing sin and granting merit comparable to major Vedic sacrifices.
By valuing a disciplined observance (upavāsa on an auspicious tithi) over costly ritual grandeur, the verse supports the Purāṇic ethic that sincere devotional practice and self-restraint can yield immense spiritual fruit.
It uses calendrical/tithi computation—month (Jyeṣṭha), fortnight (Śukla Pakṣa), and lunar day (Dvādaśī)—reflecting Jyotiṣa-style time-reckoning applied to vrata timing.
