FAQs

It defines Dvādaśī observance as not merely ritual discipline but devotional cultivation—ending the day with śravaṇa (listening) to Viṣṇu-kathā in the company of the wise, which purifies the mind and strengthens dharma.

Bhakti is expressed through śravaṇa and satsanga: hearing Viṣṇu’s līlā and teachings with vidvān-s (learned devotees) is presented as a core practice that completes the vow and deepens loving remembrance of Hari.

The verse implicitly uses Vedic calendrical discipline (tithi-based vrata practice): observing Dvādaśī (the 12th lunar day) reflects Jyotiṣa-oriented timekeeping applied to dharma, though no specific Vedāṅga technique is detailed in this line.
