दद्यादाढ्यस्तु नगरं हस्तमात्रमकिञ्चनः । भुवं तयोः समफलं प्राहुर्वेदविदो जनाः ॥ १६ ॥
dadyādāḍhyastu nagaraṃ hastamātramakiñcanaḥ | bhuvaṃ tayoḥ samaphalaṃ prāhurvedavido janāḥ || 16 ||
Người giàu nên bố thí đến cả một thị trấn; người nghèo chỉ nên dâng vật vừa trong lòng bàn tay. Các bậc thông hiểu Veda tuyên rằng quả phúc của hai sự bố thí ấy là ngang nhau.
