Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna

अश्वमेधसहस्त्राणि वाजपेयशतानि च । विधाय जाह्नवीतीरे यत्फलं तल्लभेद्धुवम् ॥ ३६ ॥

aśvamedhasahastrāṇi vājapeyaśatāni ca | vidhāya jāhnavītīre yatphalaṃ tallabheddhuvam || 36 ||

Ai thực hành thờ phụng và giữ giới trên bờ sông Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā) chắc chắn đạt được công đức vốn chỉ có được khi làm một nghìn lễ Aśvamedha và một trăm nghi lễ Vājapeya.
