शेषं कंदपदंतस्माद्भुजज्या कोटिरेव च । गताद्भुजज्याविषमे गम्यात्कोटिः पदे भवेत् ॥ ९५ ॥
śeṣaṃ kaṃdapadaṃtasmādbhujajyā koṭireva ca | gatādbhujajyāviṣame gamyātkoṭiḥ pade bhavet || 95 ||
Từ phần dư ấy, trừ đi «kandapada» (hạng căn); rồi thu được «bhujajyā» (sin) và «koṭi» (cos). Trong trường hợp không đều của sin đã đi qua, phải xác định cos tại bước (pada) tương ứng.
