Narada (instructional narration within a vrata-context; addressed to a vipra)
Vrata: Kāmadā (as continued context) / Ekādaśī-upavāsa in Vaiśākha kṛṣṇa-pakṣa
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents Ekādaśī fasting—done with bhakti and in accordance with injunction—as a discipline that yields both bhukti (rightful worldly welfare) and mukti (final liberation).
The verse makes devotion (bhaktyā) the essential qualifier: the rite is not merely austerity, but a heartfelt observance that transforms a ritual fast into a liberating act of worship.
It emphasizes calendrical and ritual precision—Ekādaśī timing in the Vaiśākha kṛṣṇa pakṣa and performance “according to vidhāna”—reflecting Jyotiṣa (sacred calendrics) and Kalpa (ritual procedure).
