Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that purification for sacred recitation comes from self-mastery: sense-control, fasting, and a disciplined, focused mind, culminating in devotional hearing and chanting.
Bhakti is framed as śravaṇa–kīrtana: listening to sacred recitation and chanting/glorifying it oneself, supported by vrata-like discipline (upavāsa and simple sanctified diet).
Ritual discipline is implied through haviṣya (a yajña-related, sanctified offering/food) and vrata procedure—practical guidance connected to Kalpa (ritual practice) rather than grammar or astrology.
