पित्र्ये रात्र्यहनी मासः प्रविभागस् तयोः पुनः कृष्णपक्षस् त्वहस्तेषां शुक्लः स्वप्नाय शर्वरी //

Transliteration

pitrye rātryahanī māsaḥ pravibhāgas tayoḥ punaḥ kṛṣṇapakṣas tvahasteṣāṃ śuklaḥ svapnāya śarvarī //

Translation

Trong cõi của các Pitṛ (tổ tiên), một tháng được cấu thành bởi ngày và đêm của họ; sự phân chia lại như sau: nửa tháng tối (kṛṣṇa-pakṣa) là ban ngày của họ, còn nửa tháng sáng (śukla-pakṣa) là ban đêm dành cho giấc ngủ.
