Adhyaya 85 — The Gods’ Hymn to the Goddess and the Emergence of Kaushiki; Shumbha Sends His Envoy
स्तुता सुरैः पूर्वमभीष्टसंश्रयात् तथासुरेन्द्रेण दिनेṣu सेविता ।
करोतु सा नः शुभहेतुरीश्वरी शुभानि भद्राण्यभिहन्तु चापदः ॥
stutā suraiḥ pūrvam abhīṣṭasaṃśrayāt tathāsurendreṇa dineṣu sevitā / karotu sā naḥ śubhahetur īśvarī śubhāni bhadrāṇy abhihantu cāpadaḥ
Nữ Thần tối thượng, xưa kia được chư thiên tán dương là nơi nương tựa ban thành tựu mọi sở nguyện, và ngay cả chúa tể loài a-tu-la cũng phụng sự khi lâm nguy—nguyện Đấng Nữ Vương ấy trở thành nguyên nhân của điềm lành cho chúng con; xin ban phúc và tiêu trừ mọi tai ương.
