Adhyaya 71 — The King’s Remorse and the Sage’s Counsel on the Necessity of a Wife
एवं शप्ता सुता तेन सा चास्ते तत्र भूपते ।
नीता तेनोरगेन्द्रेण धृता तत्सुतया सती ॥
evaṃ śaptā sutā tena sā cāste tatra bhūpate / nītā tenoragendreṇa dhṛtā tat-sutayā satī
Bị ông ta nguyền rủa như vậy, thưa Đại vương, người con gái ấy vẫn ở lại nơi đó. Người phụ nữ đức hạnh ấy đã được Chúa tể loài rắn (Nāga) đưa đến và bị con gái của ngài giữ lại tại đó.
