Adhyaya 71 — The King’s Remorse and the Sage’s Counsel on the Necessity of a Wife
साम्प्रतं तु वने त्यक्ता न वेद्मि क्व नु सा गता । भक्षिताऽवापि विपिने सिंहव्याघ्रनिशाचरैः ॥
sāmprataṃ tu vane tyaktā na vedmi kva nu sā gatā / bhakṣitā vāpi vipine siṃha-vyāghra-niśācaraiḥ
Nhưng nay, bị bỏ lại trong rừng, trẫm không biết nàng đã đi đâu—hay trong chốn hoang dã, nàng đã bị sư tử, hổ, hoặc những loài lang thang ban đêm nuốt chửng chăng.
