The ‘crying child’ image conveys the raw, untamed potency of Rudra—power that must be named, oriented, and given cosmic stations to become constructive within the order of creation.
Sarga: emergence of a deity-form and the initial description of its behavior prior to cosmic assignment.
Nīla-lohita (‘blue-red’) suggests the polarity of transcendence and passion/energy: blue (vast/etheric, poison-bearing asceticism) and red (vital force). The running and crying symbolize unchanneled śakti seeking form through nāma (name).
