स च्छिन्नधनुरादाय रथशरक्ति प्रतापवान् । प्राहिणोत् पाण्डुपुत्राय प्रदीप्तामशनीमिव,इस तरह धनुष कट जानेपर प्रतापी कृपाचार्यने पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुनपर वज्रकी भाँति प्रज्वलित रथशक्ति चलायी
sa cchinnadhanur ādāya rathaśaktiṁ pratāpavān | prāhiṇot pāṇḍuputrāya pradīptām aśanīm iva ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Khi cung của ông bị chém đứt, Kṛpācārya dũng mãnh liền nắm lấy lao chiến xa và phóng về phía Arjuna, con của Pāṇḍu, rực cháy như một tia sét.
