Dhanaṃjaya’s Reassurance and the Opening Engagement
सर्वदेवनिकायाश्न सिद्धाश्ष परमर्षय: । अर्जुनस्य कुरूणां च द्रष्ठ युद्धमुपागता:,ये सभी देवसमुदाय, सिद्ध और महर्षिगण अर्जुन तथा कौरवदलका युद्ध देखनेके लिये जुटे थे
sarvadevanikāyāś ca siddhāś ca paramarṣayaḥ | arjunasya kurūṇāṃ ca draṣṭuṃ yuddham upāgatāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Muôn đoàn chư thiên, cùng các Siddha và những bậc đại hiền tối thượng, đều tụ hội nơi ấy để chứng kiến trận chiến giữa Arjuna và quân Kurus—một biến cố nặng tựa núi, đến nỗi cả giới trời và giới khổ hạnh cũng đến làm khán giả.
