अस्याविदूरे हि धनुर्ध्वजाग्रे यस्य दृश्यते । आचार्यस्यैष पुत्रो वै अश्वत्थामा महारथ:

Transliteration

asyāvidūre hi dhanurdhvajāgre yasya dṛśyate | ācāryasya eṣa putro vai aśvatthāmā mahārathaḥ ||

Translation

Arjuna nói: “Không xa nơi đây có một dũng sĩ, nơi đầu ngọn cờ xe có dấu hiệu hình cây cung. Đó là Aśvatthāmā, bậc đại xa chiến—người con xứng đáng của Ācārya (Droṇa). Ta và mọi kẻ mang binh khí đều phải kính trọng; vì vậy, dẫu có tiến đến gần chiến xa của chàng, các ngươi cũng phải nhiều lần lui lại, tỏ rõ sự tiết chế và lễ kính.”
