Arjuna–Karna Engagement in the Cattle-Raid Aftermath
एकान्ते पार्थमासीनं कूपेडग्निमिव संवृतम् । अज्ञानादभ्यवस्कन्दध्य प्राप्ता: स््मो भयमुत्तमम्
ekānte pārtham āsīnaṁ kūpe 'gnim iva saṁvṛtam | ajñānād abhyavaskandhya prāptāḥ smo bhayam uttamam ||
Kripa nói: “Trong vô tri, chúng ta đã xông đến Pārtha (Arjuna) đang ngồi nơi ẩn tịch—như ngọn lửa bị che phủ, ẩn dưới giếng. Vì thế, chúng ta đã tự chuốc lấy nỗi sợ hãi lớn nhất. Sau khi giam họ trong rừng suốt mười ba năm và đối đãi bằng mưu trá, nay khi họ đã thoát khỏi ràng buộc của lời thệ nguyện, lẽ nào họ không tiêu diệt chúng ta như sư tử được tháo khỏi xiềng?”
