इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत विराटप्वके अन्तर्गत गोहरणपर्वमें उत्तर दिशासे गौओंके अपहरण के प्रसंगमें उत्तरके आश्वासनसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाला अड़तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
Iti prakāraṃ Śrīmahābhārate Virāṭaparvaṇi antargate Goharaṇaparvaṇi uttaradiśaḥ gāvo'pakaraṇaprasange Uttarasya āśvāsanena sambandhaṃ rakṣamāṇaḥ aṣṭatriṃśattamo'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ.
Như vậy, trong Śrī Mahābhārata, thuộc Virāṭa Parva—cụ thể là tiểu đoạn Goharaṇa (Cuộc cướp bò)—về việc đàn bò bị lùa đi về hướng bắc và gắn với lời trấn an của hoàng tử Uttara, chương thứ ba mươi tám kết thúc.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
