Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 33 — Kuru Cattle-Raid and Matsya Mobilization (भूमिंजय-प्रेरणा)
सहिता: समरे तत्र मत्स्यराजं परीप्सत । “धनुष
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sahitāḥ samare tatra matsyarājaṃ parīpsata | dhanuḥ śaktiṃ khaḍgam athavā kuṭhāraṃ yo vā manuṣyocitam astram-śastraṃ tubhyaṃ ṭhīk lage | yena tvaṃ dūṣaraiḥ paricito na bhaviṣyasi tad eva gṛhītvā rājānaṃ śīghraṃ mocaya | ime mahābalī nakula-sahadevau tava rathacakrayor rakṣāṃ kariṣyataḥ | yūyaṃ trayo bhrātaraḥ saṃhatā yuddhe mahārājaṃ virāṭaṃ mocayata ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Họ cùng nhau đứng vững giữa trận tiền, một lòng hướng đến việc cứu vua xứ Matsya. “Hãy cầm cung, lao, kiếm hay rìu—bất cứ binh khí nam nhi nào ngươi thấy hợp; hãy chọn thứ khiến ngươi không bị nhận ra, rồi mau giải cứu nhà vua.
