Kīcaka-vadha-pratisaṃjñā: Rumor in Matsya and the Kaurava Scouts’ Report (कीचकवध-प्रतिसंज्ञा)
तब राजपुत्री सुदेष्णाने विराटके कथनानुसार उससे कहा--'सैरन्ध्री! तुम जहाँ जाना चाहो, शीघ्र चली जाओ ।।
rājā bibheti te bhadre gandharvebhyaḥ parābhavāt | tvaṃ cāpi taruṇī subhru rūpeṇāpratimā bhuvi | puṃsām iṣṭaḥ strī-viṣayo gandharvāś cātikopanāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Theo lời thuật ấy, Hoàng hậu Sudeṣṇā bảo Sairandhrī, nữ tỳ của Virāṭa: “Này người hiền, hãy mau đi đến nơi nào ngươi muốn. Nhà vua sợ rằng sẽ bị các Gandharva của ngươi đánh bại. Còn ngươi, người có hàng mày đẹp, vẫn đang độ xuân thì—trên cõi đất này không có người đàn bà nào sánh được với ngươi về dung sắc. Đàn ông vốn bị lôi cuốn bởi dục lạc; mà các Gandharva của ngươi lại nóng giận vô cùng.”
