अहं होतावुभौ ब्रह्मन् कृष्णावरिविघातिनौ । अभिजानामि विक्रान्तौ तथा व्यास: प्रतापवान्,“विप्रवर! मैं इन दोनों कृष्णनामधारी वीरोंको शत्रुओंका संहार करनेमें समर्थ और महापराक्रमी समझता हूँ। महाप्रतापी वेदव्यासजीकी भी यही धारणा है
ahaṃ hotāvubhau brahman kṛṣṇāvarivighātinau | abhijānāmi vikrāntau tathā vyāsaḥ pratāpavān ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi Bà-la-môn, ta nhận biết cả hai vị anh hùng mang danh Kṛṣṇa ấy đều có thể đánh gục kẻ thù. Ta biết họ là những người đại dũng lực; và bậc hùng uy Vyāsa cũng giữ cùng một niềm tin.”
