Steady, disciplined residence in a sacred place for a fixed period (here, one month on the Sarasvatī) is presented as a dharmic practice that supports inner purification and firmness in righteous conduct.
A speaker instructs Yudhiṣṭhira about a particular holy region on the Sarasvatī, praising it as a Brahma-kṣetra visited even by Brahmā and other exalted beings, thereby recommending it as a powerful destination for pilgrimage and spiritual practice.
