प्रभु: क्षमावान् वीरश्न दाता चाप्यधिको नृपैः । रहो<नीचानुवर्ती च क्लीबवन्मम नैषध:
prabhuḥ kṣamāvān vīraś ca dātā cāpy adhiko nṛpaiḥ | raho'nīcānuvartī ca klībavan mama naiṣadhaḥ ||
Bṛhadaśva nói: “Nala của ta, vua xứ Naiṣadha, là bậc minh chủ đích thực—nhẫn nhịn, khoan dung, anh dũng và hào hiệp, vượt hơn các vua khác. Thế mà nay chàng lại lẩn khuất, đi trong bí mật, theo sau kẻ hèn, sống như người bất lực.”
