Parṇāda’s Report; Bāhuka’s Counsel; Damayantī’s Strategic Svayaṃvara Message (अध्याय ६८)
संदिदेश च तान् भीमो वसु दत्त्वा च पुष्कलम् | मृगयध्वं नलं चैव दमयन्तीं च मे सुताम्,राजा भीमने प्रचुर धन देकर ब्राह्मणोंको यह संदेश दिया--“आपलोग राजा नल और मेरी पुत्री दमयन्तीकी खोज करें
saṃdideśa ca tān bhīmo vasu dattvā ca puṣkalam | mṛgayadhvaṃ nalaṃ caiva damayantīṃ ca me sutām ||
Bhimā, sau khi ban cho các bà-la-môn ấy của cải dồi dào, liền sai họ đi và truyền rằng: “Hãy tìm cho được vua Nala, và cả con gái ta, Damayantī.”
ब॒हदश्व उवाच
A ruler should act promptly and ethically in crisis: using generosity and proper messengers to pursue a just objective—here, the recovery and protection of family members—reflecting rājadharma and responsible care.
King Bhīma commissions brāhmaṇas, giving them ample resources, and instructs them to search for King Nala and for his daughter Damayantī, indicating an organized effort to locate the missing couple.
