आहूय पृथिवीपाल: सत्यधर्मपरायण: । देवने कुशलैर्जिह्नौ्वतं राज्यं वसूनि च

Transliteration

bṛhadaśva uvāca | āhūya pṛthivīpālaḥ satyadharmaparāyaṇaḥ | devane kuśalair jihnaiḥ vṛtaṁ rājyaṁ vasūni ca ||

Translation

Bṛhadaśva nói: Vị vua ấy, một người tận tụy với chân thật và dharma, đã triệu họ đến. Nhưng trong cuộc đỏ đen, ông bị những kẻ chơi xảo quyệt, gian trá đánh lừa, nên vương quốc và của cải đều bị đoạt mất. Đoạn này nhấn mạnh rằng ngay cả một bậc quân vương chính trực cũng có thể bị hủy hoại khi bước vào thói xấu nơi kỹ nghệ đi đôi với lừa dối, và rằng dharma đòi hỏi không chỉ đức hạnh mà còn cả sự cảnh giác.
