Nala as Bāhuka enters Ṛtuparṇa’s city
विदर्भराण्मम पिता भर्ता राजा च नैषध: । नलो नाम महाभागस्तं मृग्याम्यपराजितम्,“विदर्भराज भीम मेरे पिता हैं, निषधनरेश महाभाग राजा नल मेरे पति हैं। मैं उन्हीं अपराजित वीर नलकी खोज कर रही हूँ
vidarbharāṇ mama pitā bhartā rājā ca naiṣadhaḥ | nalo nāma mahābhāgas taṁ mṛgyāmy aparājitam ||
Bṛhadaśva nói: “Vua Bhīma xứ Vidarbha là phụ vương của ta; còn vua xứ Niṣadha là phu quân của ta. Người ấy là Nala lẫy lừng. Chính vị anh hùng bất khả chiến bại Nala ấy mà ta đang tìm kiếm.”
बृहृदश्च उवाच
The verse highlights steadfastness to rightful relationships and dharma: even amid separation and hardship, the speaker affirms lawful identity—father, husband, and kingdom—and remains committed to seeking the rightful spouse, portraying fidelity and perseverance as ethical strengths.
