नलस्य बाहुकत्वेन ऋतुपर्णनगरप्रवेशः
Nala as Bāhuka enters Ṛtuparṇa’s city
नल॑ नामारिदमनं दमयन्त्या: प्रियं पतिम् । निषधानामधिपेतिं दृष्टवानसि मे प्रियम्,(अब उसने अशोकसे कहा--) 'प्रियदर्शन अशोक! तुम शीघ्र ही मेरा शोक दूर कर दो। क्या तुमने शोक, भय और बाधासे रहित शत्रुदमन राजा नलको देखा है? क्या मेरे प्रियतम, दमयन्तीके प्राणवल्लभ, निषधनरेश नलपर तुम्हारी दृष्टि पड़ी है?
bṛhadaśva uvāca | nalaṃ nāmāridamanaṃ damayantyāḥ priyaṃ patim | niṣadhānām adhipatiṃ dṛṣṭavān asi me priyam ||
Bṛhadaśva nói: “Ngươi có thấy người ta yêu dấu—Nala, bậc hàng phục kẻ thù, phu quân thân yêu của Damayantī, chúa tể xứ Niṣadha—hay không? Ngươi có đặt mắt lên vị vua đáng quý ấy, kẻ không vướng sợ hãi và tai ương, chăng?”
