Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Sañjaya on Arjuna’s Indraloka report and the political consequences
इयं पौरववंशस्य जननी मुदितेति ह । त्वामहं दृष्टवांस्तत्र विज्ञायोत्फुल्ललोचन:,“यह आनन्दमयी उर्वशी ही पूरुवंशकी जननी है, ऐसा समझकर मेरे नेत्र खिल उठे और इस पूज्य भावको लेकर ही मैंने तुम्हें वहाँ देखा था। कल्याणमयी अप्सरा! तुम मेरे विषयमें कोई अन्यथा भाव मनमें न लाओ। तुम मेरे वंशकी वृद्धि करनेवाली हो, अतः गुरुसे भी अधिक गौरवशालिनी हो”
iyaṃ paurava-vaṃśasya jananī muditeti ha | tvām ahaṃ dṛṣṭavāṃs tatra vijñāyotphulla-locanaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nghĩ rằng: ‘Đây chính là Urvāśī hoan hỷ—tổ mẫu của dòng Paurava,’ mắt ta bừng sáng vì vui mừng. Chính với lòng tôn kính ấy mà ta đã nhìn nàng nơi đó. Hỡi tiên nữ cát tường, xin chớ hiểu lầm về ta. Nàng là người làm tăng trưởng dòng dõi ta; bởi vậy nàng đáng được tôn kính còn hơn cả bậc thầy.”
