जानन्तो विषमं कुर्युरस्मास्वत्यन्तवैरिण: । युक्तचाराश्न युक्ताश्न पौरस्प स््वजनस्य च
jānanto viṣamaṃ kuryur asmāsv atyantavairiṇaḥ | yuktacārāś ca yuktāś ca paurasya svajanasya ca ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nếu những kẻ thù không đội trời chung ấy biết được nơi ở của chúng ta, chúng sẽ hành xử tàn bạo với chúng ta—và còn làm hại cả dân chúng trong thành cùng thân tộc của ta. Chúng đã sắp đặt người của chúng và mật thám khắp nơi; vì vậy, nếu chỗ ở bị lộ, những ai có liên can với ta cũng sẽ chịu vạ lây. Bởi lẽ ấy, chúng ta muốn ẩn mình và xin các ngài chuẩn thuận.”
