मान्यानां तत्र वृद्धानां कृत्वा पादाभिवादनम्‌ | वनानि क्रमशस्तात सर्वाण्येवाभ्यगच्छत,तात! वहाँ माननीय वृद्धजनोंकी चरणवन्दना करके उसने क्रमश: सभी वनोंमें भ्रमण किया

Transliteration

mānyānāṃ tatra vṛddhānāṃ kṛtvā pādābhivādanam | vanāni kramaśas tāta sarvāṇy evābhyagacchat ||

Translation

Tại đó, trước hết chàng cúi mình đảnh lễ dưới chân các bậc trưởng lão đáng tôn kính; rồi sau, hỡi con yêu, chàng theo thứ tự mà lên đường, đi thăm và lang du khắp mọi cánh rừng—lấy lòng khiêm cung đối với người đáng kính, và lấy kỷ luật làm phương châm cho cuộc hành trình.
