वरुण उवाच रसा वै मत्प्रसूता हि भूतदेहेषु राघव । अहं वै त्वां प्रत्रवीमि मैथिली प्रतिगृह्यताम्,वरुणदेवने कहा--श्रीराम! समस्त प्राणियोंके शरीरमें जो जलतत्त्व है, वह मुझसे ही उत्पन्न हुआ है। अतः मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ, मिथिलेशकुमारी निष्पाप है, इसे ग्रहण करो
varuṇa uvāca | rasā vai matprasūtā hi bhūtadeheṣu rāghava | ahaṃ vai tvāṃ prabravīmi maithilī pratigṛhyatām ||
Thần Varuṇa nói: “Hỡi Rāghava, các ‘dịch thể’—yếu tố nước hiện hữu trong thân thể muôn loài—quả thật phát sinh từ ta. Vì vậy ta tuyên cáo với ngươi: Maithilī vô tội; hãy đón nàng trở lại.”
