ग्राहयित्वाहमात्मानं ततो दग्ध्वा च तां पुरीम् सम्प्राप्त इति तं राम: प्रियवादिनमार्चयत्,“तदनन्तर मैंने जान-बूुझकर अपने-आपको राक्षसोंद्वारा पकड़वा दिया और लंकापुरीको जलाकर समुद्रके इस पार आ पहुँचा।! यह सब समाचार सुनकर श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने प्रियवादी हनुमान्का अत्यन्त आदर-सत्कार किया
grāhayitvāham ātmānaṃ tato dagdhvā ca tāṃ purīm samprāpta iti taṃ rāmaḥ priyavādinaṃ ārchayat
“Sau khi cố ý để bọn La-sát bắt giữ, rồi thiêu rụi thành ấy, ta đã trở về bờ bên này của đại dương.” Nghe bản tường trình ấy, Rāma đã trọng thưởng Hanumān—người nói lời chân thật mà êm dịu—bằng sự tôn kính cao nhất, thừa nhận phẩm hạnh của sự phụng sự dũng cảm vì chính nghĩa và dharma.
