Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
यदृच्छयाथ तद् रक्ष: करे जग्राह लक्ष्मणम् | विषादमगमत् सद्यः सौमित्रिरथ भारत,वह एक राक्षस था। उसने सहसा आकर लक्ष्मणका एक हाथ पकड़ लिया। भारत! यह देख सुमित्रानन्दन लक्ष्मण तत्काल बहुत दुःखी हो गये
yadṛcchayātha tad rakṣaḥ kare jagrāha lakṣmaṇam | viṣādam agamat sadyaḥ saumitrir atha bhārata ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Rồi, tình cờ, tên rākṣasa ấy nắm lấy tay Lakṣmaṇa. Hỡi Bhārata, thấy vậy, Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa), con của Sumitrā, lập tức bị nỗi u sầu sâu thẳm phủ lấp.”
