Transliteration

Mālinī janayāmāsa putram ekaṁ Vibhīṣaṇam | Rākāyāṁ mithunaṁ jajñe Kharaḥ Śūrpaṇakhā tathā ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya nói: Mālinī sinh một người con trai duy nhất là Vibhīṣaṇa. Còn từ Rākā thì sinh ra một cặp song sinh—một con trai tên Khara và một con gái tên Śūrpaṇakhā. Thế là dòng dõi được kể lại, để thấy rằng những lựa chọn đạo lý về sau vẫn nảy sinh từ cùng một cội nguồn gia tộc.
