इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि आड्िरसे कुमारोत्पत्तौ अष्टाविंशत्यधिकद्धिशततमो<ध्याय:

Như vậy, trong Śrī Mahābhārata, thuộc Vana Parva, ở phần tóm lược lời thuật của Mārkaṇḍeya, trong đoạn nói về sự giáng sinh của Kumāra (Skanda), chương thứ hai trăm hai mươi tám kết thúc tại đây.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
