आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च

Indra approaches Skanda; vajra strike and the arising of Viśākha

त्वया विनिकृता माता पिता च द्विजसत्तम | अनिसृष्टोडसि निष्क्रान्तो गृहात्‌ ताभ्यामनिन्दित

tvayā vinikṛtā mātā pitā ca dvijasattama | anisṛṣṭo 'si niṣkrānto gṛhāt tābhyām anindita ||

Người thợ săn nói: “Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong hàng Bà-la-môn, ngài đã làm điều sai trái với mẹ và cha mình. Chưa được song thân cho phép, ngài đã rời khỏi nhà—dẫu ngài vốn không mang tội lỗi do dòng dõi. Theo Dharma, rời bỏ cha mẹ khi chưa có sự đồng thuận tự thân đã là lỗi, bởi phụng sự song thân là bổn phận hàng đầu.”
