त्ववनुग्रहबुद्धया तु विप्रैतद्‌ दर्शितं मया । वाक्यं च शृणु मे तात यत्‌ ते वक्ष्ये हित॑ द्विज,विप्रवर! आपपर अनुग्रह करनेके विचारसे ही मैंने ये सब बातें आपके सामने रखी हैं। तात! आप मेरी बात सुनिये। ब्रह्म! आपके लिये जो हितकर है वही बात बताऊँगा

Transliteration

tv anugraha-buddhayā tu vipra etad darśitaṁ mayā | vākyaṁ ca śṛṇu me tāta yat te vakṣye hitaṁ dvija-vipravara ||

Translation

Người thợ săn nói: “Hỡi Bà-la-môn, ta chỉ vì lòng muốn ban ân mà bày tỏ những điều ấy trước ngài. Nay xin hãy nghe lời ta, thưa bậc đáng kính. Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong hàng ‘hai lần sinh’, ta sẽ nói điều thật sự lợi ích cho phúc lợi của ngài.”
