पञ्चवर्णोत्पत्तिः — The Origin of the Five-Colored Fiery Being and Ritual-Disruptor Lineages

वध्यमाने शरीरे तु देहनाशो भवत्युत । जीव: सड्क्रमते<न्यत्र कर्मबन्धनिबन्धन:

vadhyamāne śarīre tu dehanāśo bhavaty uta | jīvaḥ saṅkramate 'nyatra karmabandhanibandhanaḥ ||

Khi thân xác bị đánh gục, cái bị diệt chỉ là khung thân vật chất. Linh ngã (ātman) chuyển sang nơi khác, bị thúc đẩy bởi sức trói buộc của chính nghiệp mình. Vì vậy, thứ hoại diệt là thân; còn hệ quả đạo đức của hành vi đưa hữu tình sang một trạng thái tồn tại khác.
